Panda Blairgowrie is fashioned around the simple concept of sharing. The sharing of food, wine, laughter and good vibes was the main motivation when creating both the fit out of the venue, along with the menus.
Transforming the existing modest Indian restaurant into a café and dining room, the other main influences in the venue are natural products and sustainability.
Panda consists of a main dining room and has the added addition of a rear courtyard (opening in November 2018!), along with a separate outdoor seating area at the front. Surrounded by greenery, the menu is inspired by seasonal and local produce.
Panda Blairgowrie is situated just over an hour from Melbourne and is located on one of Australia’s most celebrated regions, the Mornington Peninsula. This is where we source as much of our produce as possible, for both our café and dining menu, along with our Peninsula inspired beverage list.
Upon opening Panda Blairgowrie, the most frequently asked question was ‘Will you be serving Asian Cuisine’?
This is certainly the most obvious question, but Panda was named after one of our Old English Sheep Dog puppies, whom we clearly adore. Panda also has a love of food second to none, so it seemed fitting.
We are hoping to open a brother venue in the future and name it after Panda’s big brother, Bentley, but for now poor Bentley only gets a dish named after him on Panda’s menu.
